How did I choose the route?
The idea started forming rather slowly. I like bicycles. I like bicycle touring. I like my friends and family. So I came up with the idea of writing a list of everyone I could think of that lived around the world then plotting them on a map. I played dot to dot and started developing a cycle route from the UK east, via as many friends and family as possible.
Then I started cycling.
Most days I changed my route, my schedule and my reasons for cycling, the only constant theme being that I cycled forwards!
The red line shows the parts I cycled, the lighter red are usually boats or forms of transport such as cars, buses, trains, hitchhiking, donkey rides etc.
