How did I choose the route?
The idea started forming rather slowly. I like bicycles. I like bicycle touring. I like my friends and family. So I came up with the idea of writing a list of everyone I could think of that lived around the world then plotting them on a map. I played dot to dot and started developing a cycle route from the UK to my uncle and aunt in Sydney, via as many friends and family as possible.
Then I started cycling.
Everyday I change my route, my schedule and my reason for cycling, but overall the aim remains the same.
I record my routes on my GPS and upload onto the cycling app Strava if you are interested in the details of each journey.
The red line shows the parts I cycled, the lighter red are usually boats or forms of transport such as cars, buses, trains, hitchhiking, donkey rides etc.
